Most events require ‘Supervised Valet Parking’. Clients are required to register their bicycles which are ‘Valet’ parked in the bicycle parking compound.
When parking large numbers of bicycles, this process is essential and the key to a successful event. It is the next most important consideration to the actual parking of bicycles. Unfortunately, event organizers are not aware of how important this process is, and if not done properly, it can reflect poorly on the event organization.
To prevent this problem occurring,WheelUp has developed its own bicycle parking registration system, called a Bicycle Registration Kit and is included in the price of system rental. It can also be purchased separately for $20. Additional Registration Books are $3 each.
The Bicycle Registration Kit includes the following items:
- Registration Book
- Bicycle ID Stickers
- Bicycle Rack ID Signs
- Pens
- Waterproof Kit Container
As a further bonus to our event organizers we include in our parking system a numbering system which is applied to our system to enable valet parking. Our registration books are specifically designed to work with this numbering system.
The Bicycle Registration Book is designed to register one rack of 40 bicycles twice. A tear off ticket is given to the client in order to retrieve their bicycle. Their first or last name is recorded as well as a contact phone number in case they lose their claim ticket.
Bicycles are parked in a staggered formation on the crossbar. This maximizes the use of the parking system and each rack will park a maximum of 40 bicycles.
